Blue and white Viper RT/10 wins Normal Car Cup!

It is just too easy using a Viper to win the Normal Car Cup. I mean, you are literally in autopilot. I held off the NSX at Special Stage Route 11 and took advantage of a special “Fast Forward” action that my PSX Emulator has. I pressed backspace and my Viper took off, going so fast I easily won all races. The NSX came second in all races except one where it came third, behind the TRD 3000GT. I got all poles except for the first race. My prize? A turquoise Toyota Supra RZ, which I’ve already tuned to 923ps (gosh, thats an awful lot). I think I’ll keep it for the Megaspeed Cup and the Tuned Cup (even though it can’t be tuned as much as the one you get from the dealer).

Cars that showed up:

VIPER RT/10 (me)

NSX TypeSZero

R33GT-R

TRD 3000GT

FDRX7 Aspec

IMPREZA’96SD STiIII

I’m going to make good use of my Supra in the future. I’m saving up for an NSX-R GT1 Turbo. As I’ve never driven it before, I would like to drive it (even though I hear it handles the same as the NSX-R LM GT2).

GT1 and GT2 Japan have come

The Japanese versions of Gran Turismo and Gran Turismo 2 have come, and are better than the other versions of the game (American and European). There are an awful lot of differences - the music is better, and the cars are better (The NSX-R GT1 Turbo looks better than the NSX-R LM GT2, even though I’ve never driven it because I’ve just started and I HAVEN’T GOT ENOUGH  MONEY!!). I guess I’ll just have to save up for a Viper and keep doing the Normal cup until I have the money. My GT1 starter car is a Honda EG Civic SiR-II. My GT2 starter car (as sadly in the Japanese version there are no EG Civics to start with and PSX Emulator sucks because the used car lots never change) is a Mazda FC Savanna RX 7 Infini III.

Massive Nascar wreck!!

At Talladega, the rookie Keselowski sent Carl Edward’s car into the fence, destroying it and hurting fans, like the Bobby Alison crash in 1987. The rookie won but still, that was a bad crash, and Jr came second (yeah!). There was also a huge crash earlier in the race, and several cars hit the wall hard. Meanwhile, in the world of Gran Turismo, a Venturi Atlantique 400 GT went under a wall due to a computer program glitch and nearly fell through the track, until an invisible force field helped the Ferrari-like car back on its wheels. Not long until the Japanese version comes.

Visit the link to look at this crash (although I guess it will be on Youtube soon)

What car will I be starting with?

Easy question. Honda Civic SiR-II (EG) ‘93. In GT1 it makes for a really sweet FF car that can win several races, even though it is no where close to getting a Triple Crown. But it is possible you can win the GT Cup in it. In GT2 this car is capable of winning the Trial Mountain endurance race, all races in the FF challenge (even though your car needs to be set up a bit better for the last race), several rally events, and even the GT 300 series with a bit of tuning. It is capable of doing anything a hot hatch can do. Of course, there’s the FC Savanna RX7 GTX and MA70 Supra 3.0 GT Turbo Limited that are also great in GT1, and in GT2 there are the Savanna RX 7 Infini III and MA70 Supra again, and the JZA70 Supra Twinturbo R. But the Civic SiRII is really sweet, and fast, and powerful enough to win several races.

Are You Ready For My Blog With The Japanese Games?

In a couple of weeks I’ll be getting my own Japanese versions of Gran Turismo 1 and 2 (the European versions are merely okay by standards but are let down a little), and in Gran Turismo 1 and 2 it’s a little easier as well.
